Lithium batteries stand out with numerous advantages
December 8, 2025
Firstly, in terms of energy density, lithium batteries are much higher than traditional lead-acid batteries and the like. Taking electric vehicles as an example, under the premise of the same mass or volume, lithium batteries can store more electric energy, enabling vehicles to achieve longer range, effectively alleviating users' range anxiety. Secondly, in terms of cycle life, general lithium batteries can withstand 500-1000 or even more charge-discharge cycles. After multiple uses, their performance degradation is relatively slow, greatly extending the battery's service life and reducing replacement costs. Thirdly, low self-discharge rate is one of its major highlights. Compared to nickel-hydrogen batteries and the like, lithium batteries have a monthly self-discharge rate of only around 5%-10%. When not in use for a long time, they can still maintain a good amount of electricity, making it convenient for devices to be activated at any time. In addition, lithium batteries are relatively environmentally friendly. During production and disposal, they cause much less environmental pollution than traditional batteries containing heavy metals.
